Ernie Del is one of the founding partners of the firm. Born and raised in the South Bay, Ernie began his law career as an antitrust litigator at the legendary law firm of Wyman, Bautzer, Rothman & Kuchel, focused primarily on cases addressing the transformation of the nationwide Bell telephone system in the late 1970s before shifting to transactional entertainment law. Initially he worked exclusively in feature films - major studio and independent film production, as well as finance and distribution - in the United States and abroad. He subsequently expanded his focus to include all aspects of television and digital media.
Ernie is widely regarded as one of the most influential and respected players in all facets of the entertainment business. His advice and representation have involved content creators and producers, as well as entertainment executives worldwide (among them the heads of television networks, cable channels and major studios). Ernie has also worn an executive hat since 1999 as President of ZeniMax Media Inc., the parent company of Bethesda Softworks and other renowned leaders in the global business of video games and other original interactive entertainment content. This entrepreneurial experience has fittingly complemented Ernie’s expertise in traditional media.
