Grant Hamilton is a new associate at the firm, where he focuses his practice on entertainment transactional law in the firm’s Unscripted and Alternative Practice Group.

Prior to joining DSMTFL, Grant worked in the Business & Legal Affairs department at FX Networks. At FX, he drafted writer, producer and director agreements, test option agreements, development/acquisition agreements, underlying rights agreements and production services agreements for scripted and unscripted television. Grant also managed development and production-related issues for scripted and unscripted television programming, including guild-related issues.

Grant started his career as a law clerk at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Police Litigation Unit where he drafted briefs and motions including motions in limine and motions for summary judgment and assisted with preparation of clients for testimony at depositions. He also was a law clerk at Interactive Entertainment Law Group, where he gained experience in the rapidly growing world of eSports.

The Manhattan Beach native and his fiancée share two golden retrievers. When he’s not spending time with them, he enjoys snowboarding, movies, and reading and he is obsessed with the Oakland Raiders.
