Matt Cuzzocrea is an associate attorney in the firm’s Unscripted and Alternative Practice group where he practices entertainment transactional law. Matt advises, strategizes, and structures deals for an array of clients including writers, directors, producers, content creators, and production companies to ensure each client achieves their current business objectives and are positioned for future success.
Matt’s recent experience at Irwin Entertainment, where he handled in-house legal work on numerous unscripted and scripted productions as the Head of Business and Legal Affairs, gave him an intimate understanding and solid foundation of the intricacies of the entire deal-making process and production landscape, which he applies to best serve his client’s interests. Invigorated by the creative process, he methodically utilizes his transaction capabilities to craft business agreements that are designed for results, and he strives to protect clients through the entire process while simultaneously establishing a strategy for their next opportunity.
Matt believes a collaborative approach is essential to attaining the best results in the evolving entertainment landscape. With that mindset, he utilizes each member of the firm and their collective expertise to add maximum value and ensure his clients are best served.
Prior to his time at Irwin, Matt worked in the Business Affairs department at William Morris Endeavor where he handled agency license applications, agreements, and privacy-related/digital content complaints. He currently resides in Los Angeles and in his spare time enjoys golfing, hiking, and spending time with his family, friends, and French bulldog, Angus.
